
Creating a Path to Success (CAPS) History
In 2004, as part of the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce (CHCC) 25th Anniversary & the 50th Anniversary of the landmark decision of Brown v. Board of Ed., CHCC launched the first Creating a Path to Success (CAPS) Program.
The CHCC Foundation (CHCCF/ Foundation) was created and incorporated in 2008 and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public benefit corporation. CAPS is now housed within the Foundation which works in tandem with the CHCC to develop and execute programs that contribute to the capacity and effectiveness of Hispanic organizations. CAPS aims to empower & train the next generation of successful Hispanic civic and business leaders through training, network-building, and ongoing engagement with leaders in business development.
